Challenge Time-- Be Inspired

Hi Guys-- being that we are not having a class for another 3 weeks, I wanted to share some inspiration I found and a Challenge.  Here it is:

The Challenge-- Create a mini album inspired by this school binder.  I will be working on the same.  I would love to see what you create so if you can, post a video on Youtube and/or post pix on the Paper Phenomenon Ning site and link us to your blog/video.  Remember inspiration can come from all things around you.  Apply those inspirations into your everyday projects.  I can't wait to see what you come up with.  Leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts.  I will be sharing my project during the upcoming class on 4/16/2011 at 4pm CST.

Supply List
• Card stock for the Basket- 4 sheets of 12’’x12’’ yellow cardstock or color of your choice.
• Cardstock for the base of your pages- 6 sheets of Kraft cardstock 12’’x12’’ and 6 sheets of 8 ½’’ x 11’’.
• Pattern Paper to mat your pages- I used the DCWV Cotton Blossom line for the sample in my video. For Class and the kits we will be using the Echo Park Spring time collection.
• Chipboard- 2 pieces at 7’’ x5’’, 2 pieces at 4’’ x 5’’ and 1 piece at 4’’x7’’
• Embellishments- Various Flowers, Easter Eggs, Easter Grass, bunny. (Make sure your embellishments are to scale. You don’t want embellishments that are too large)
• Ink – Burlap Distress Ink by Ranger
• Border punch- I used the Martha Stewart punch. Scallop border
• Tyvek- optional
• Adhesive, Scor- tape, Hot Glue
• Paper Trimmer
• Craft Knife
• Ruler
• Score Board- I used the Martha Stewart score board

Hi All-- the Tutorial is ready - am finished!!!!!! It is jammed packed with photos and goodies.

For those of you that like to follow along in class, see supply list below.

Supply List
1. Pages - Six 12’’x 12’’ sheets of Cardstock. This is used to create the pages for the album. You want to select a cardstock color that coordinates with your patterned paper.
2. Paper Hinges - One, sheet of 12’’x12’’ cardstock for your paper hinges. This color cardstock should be the same color as the cardstock you use for the pages.
3. Chipboard- You will need 2 pieces at 7.5’’x 5’’ (front and back covers) and 1 piece at 1.5’’ x 5’’(spine).
4. Adhesive – Hot Glue or wet glue and strong double sided tape strip such as Scor-tape.
5. Pattern paper – You will need at least 12 sheets of 12’’x 12’’ pattern paper if you are considering matting your pages with pattern paper. If you choose to do a plain cardstock album then you will need the same amount in various colors. For my sample Ultimate Brag Book I used the DCWV Celebration Collection.
6. Border Punch – I used the Martha Stewart Optic Dot border punch, but you can use whichever one you like.
7. Scoring board – I used the Martha Stewart Scoring Board
8. Bone Folder
9. Paper Trimmer
10. Scissors
11. Craft Knife

Ultimate Brag Book

UPDATE- The Tutorial will to up by Wednesday Night. I created another album-a combo of 5x7 and 4x6. I want to include that album in the tutorial as well.
