Customize Premade (purchased) Albums

Hi Everyone-- I love the designs of the Pre-made Albums at Michael's, Hobby Lobby, etc., but I don't like that they have the plastic sleeves. I decided to customize a few albums that I picked up at Micheal's on sale. Check out my video for the How To on customizing these pre-made albums. Thanks for watching!!!!

  13. Kathy - I couldn't wait to get up this morning and review your video on this paper bag albums! I'm going to make them for a Girls Getaway weekend for my sister, my niece, my daughter and daughter-in-law to commemorate our weekend and I'm really excited! Off to Michael's!! LOL!
AND I have a question. These bags don't look like regular sized bags - are they special bags, regular bags cut down (or where can I find them?)?

    Thanks,

  14. Kathy I have one question on this technique
I tried using the brown paper bags I had, when I put them to check with the same album as you my brown bags were too large. I didn't realize you needed a specific size for this album. Can you please tell me where you purchased the paper bags for this??
Thanks so much. You are so talented....

  16. Hey guys - I went to Michaels today and got the last 4 of this type of album and 1 other style (these were all 60% off). I went over to the packaging section (where the boxes, wrapping and bags are - in my Michaels this is on the totally opposite side of the building from the scrapbooking and to the right immediately after you come thru the door). Anyway, there are multiple sizes of paper bags, and all different colors. I got several packages of 12 for 2.99 and they are not the normal paper bag size. I think these are going to work just fine!
    Hope that helps !

  17. Hi Guys-- So sorry for not seeing this. I've been getting lots of questions on these bags and I have posted on the Cricut Message Board. Anyway, the bags I used for this project can be found at Michaels. They can be found in the cake/Party sections. They are called Celebrate It! They come in all sorts of colors. The bags measure 4 5/8 tall. I hope this helps. Please feel free to email me with any questions. Hugs Kathy
